Just call the delivery person, because you can of course make the tastiest pizza yourself. With Veenmeester cheese and simply in your own oven. Easier than you think. And otherwise you can always use that ready-made base.
In this recipe we top it with slices of ham, tomato, red onion and fresh basil leaves. But above all, use what you like. Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, olives and a handful of arugula all go well with it too!
Ingredients (8 pizzas)
For the base
1 kg white patent flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 to 2 grams yeast
Half a liter of water (luke warm)
Finely ground corn flour for rolling out the dough
For the topping
Tomato sauce
Veenmeester cheese (grated)
Ham
Tomato slices
Red onion rings
Fresh basil leaves
Preparation
Pizza base
- Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the water. Let stand for 10 minutes. In the meantime, mix the salt into the flour.
- Mix the flour and water together and knead for 10-15 minutes until a nice, smooth dough is formed. You can also use a food processor with dough hooks for this.
- Brush the inside of a large mixing bowl with olive oil and place the entire dough ball in it. Also brush the ball with oil and wipe the bowl with a clean and damp tea towel.
- Let rise in a warm place for about 8 hours.
- Sprinkle your work surface with finely ground cornmeal. Remove the dough from the bowl and divide it into balls of 100-150 grams. Apply tension by balling them up and roll them out with a rolling pin.
Siege
- Spread the pizza base thinly with the tomato sauce.
- Divide the grated Veenmeester cheese, slices of ham, tomato and red onion rings successively over the pizza.
- Bake the pizza for about 10 minutes on the hottest setting of your oven or use a pizza oven if you have one. In that case, your pizza will be ready after about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with the fresh basil leaves and serve.
Enjoy your meal!
