Veenmeester is at the Anuga Trade Fair

Admittedly, it will take a while, but we are still proud to announce that we will be at the Anuga Trade Fair 2025 in Cologne with Veenmeester . From October 4 to 8 we will present our tastiest cheeses at one of the world's largest food trade fairs.

At the Anuga Trade Fair, buyers, retailers and food experts from all over the world are introduced to new, innovative products. Or in our case: with sustainable cheese from Dutch soil. In this way we create broader support for environmentally friendly cheeses and people will soon be able to enjoy delicious and, above all, responsible cheese in even more places.

New trends and developments

In addition to introducing our own cheese, we like to be inspired. For example, due to trends in the field of clean label foods or due to developments regarding sustainable production processes. This way we can continue to take new steps and make the tastiest cheese - with minimal impact on the environment.

Community park Oosterwolde

At ecomunity park in Oosterwolde

The Veenmeester cheese factory is now located at Ecomunitypark, a sustainable business park in Oosterwolde (Friesland). There are several innovative companies located in this area, all of which have the same goal: future-proof and stable entrepreneurship.

At least half of the Ecomunitypark business park consists of greenery, with investments also being made in biodiversity. This way we create a healthier working environment for our cheese makers. Important, because this way we can continue to guarantee you the characteristic taste and texture of Veenmeester .

BREEAM certificate

At the Ecomunity Park the focus is not only on nature. For example, we also focus on sustainability when it comes to energy, water savings, transport and waste processing. As a result, the business park was the first in Europe to achieve the highest achievable BREEAM certification.

Further towards CO2-neutral cheese

By establishing ourselves at Ecomunitypark, we at Veenmeester are making an even greater contribution to a sustainable world. In addition, we continuously benefit from the expertise from the knowledge center, so that we can always take an extra step towards our goal: CO2-neutral cheese in 2034.


Veenmeester Sustainable Cheese

Eytemaheert partner of Veenmeester

Natuurboerderij Eytemaheert will collaborate with Veenmeester to produce sustainable cheeses from circular dairy. Nature-inclusive circular agriculture is practiced on the small-scale farm in Roderwolde, where nature is protected and enhanced.

In practice, this form of agriculture means that no pesticides, artificial fertilizers or unnatural feed are used. For example, the Groningen Blaarkop cows on the farm are completely grass-fed and live a good and as natural life as possible. You can taste that again.

Unique cheeses made from special milk

Thanks to the new collaboration, we at Veenmeester are now the only ones in the Netherlands to produce cheese from the milk of Eytemaheert cows. With this we add a new chapter to making sustainable cheese. And more importantly, a new product line: Weldaad.

You will soon be able to find our Weldaad cheeses on the shelves of the cheese specialist near you. Come and taste them and be surprised by unique cheeses made from special milk.
